PS5 DEAD RAM UART ERROR CODE: 808011BF

You can’t win em all!!

PS5 came it from a customer with the following enquiry:

Upon inspection we done our outer and inner visual inspection with checking standby voltages ect.. We proceeded to UART the PS5 and was presented with this:

Ouch! 7/8 RAM IC’s dead! These where Samsung RAM IC’s, so we proceeded to replace just the first one to see if it would drop off the list.

As you can see it did! So we proceeded to replace the remaining six.

Once all the faulty RAM IC’s where replaced we was presented with this wonderful error code.

As a guess I would say the memory controller in the APU is dead!
