This is for one pair (x2) of Dualsense Edge stick modules modified with GuliKit TMR sticks.
Both sticks are fully calibrated to within spec of a standard Sony DualSense controller so as to give the best overall feel for all gaming types.
Warning stuff and reality check!
The latest installation/calibration method no longer requires us to install driver boards. Instead, we install wires in certain positions on the module’s PCB (circuit board) which allows us to use software to unlock the module’s firmware so we can then calibrate the stick.
But this means that once installation and initial calibration has been completed, we have to re-lock the firmware and remove the wires which disables the ability to enter calibration.
The reason we do this is because there is always the possibility that Sony could release a firmware update and if it were to “see” that the firmware was unlocked, Sony could potentially brick the modules! Obviously, we don’t know if that will ever be the case, but it’s not a risk worth taking! (We have already seen Microsoft do something similar in recent firmware updates causing Series X|S controllers with TMR/Hall Effect sticks installed to lose calibration and bug out completely. Which is why we currently won’t install them into Xbox controllers!)
Realistically, the TMR sticks shouldn’t need to be recalibrated anyway – that’s kind of the point of them!
We see a lot of others out there that advertise TMR / Hall Effect as “Drift Free” or “Permanent Drift Fix”. This is not physically possible with the way Sony construct the controllers.
Although the TMR sensors “should” never drift, the mechanical spring mechanism will eventually suffer from wear & tear depending on how much use it has. Unfortunately this is a fact of life and cannot be avoided.
