TMR sticks are available from many companies such at Gulikit, Ginfull and Hallpi. They work in a similar way to Hall Effects, but use a newer technology allowing for reportedly higher accuracy and lower power consumption.

TMR sticks use magnets to detect stick movement, rather than physically touching parts like traditional potentiometers. This means there is far less wear and tear and, in theory, they should not develop stick drift in their lifetime. (Although, we cannot guarantee it 100%, as the mechanism itself can still wear out over time or become damaged.)

Unfortunately, there currently aren’t any Hall Effect/TMR modules available on the market that will work reliably with either the Series 1 or Series 2 Elite controllers. (And believe me… we’ve tried them all!)
The magnetic thumbsticks, the Hall Effect sensors for the triggers and the magnets in the rear shell for the paddles all interfere with the electromagnetic modules.
But don’t worry, as soon as a suitable solution comes along that meets our high quality and reliability standards, we will post about it here and on our YouTube channel!
