We are now able to offer upgrades to most controller brands:
- Sony PS5 Dualsense & DualSense Edge, PS4 DualShock
- SCUF PS4 (Infinity & Impact), PS5 (Reflex), Xbox (Instinct & Valor) and PC (Envision)
- AIM (PS4 & PS5)
- Battle Beaver (PS4 & PS5)
- Other modded/custom Sony PS4/PS5 controllers
Original ALPS analog stick modules use a rotor which wipes against a carbon track inside the potentiometers, which then sends a signal to the controller telling it where the stick is positioned. Over time, the carbon track gets worn away, leading to jitter and stick drift.
TMR stick modules use magnetic fields to detect stick movement, rather than physically touching parts, meaning there is far less wear and tear and, in theory, should not develop traditional stick drift in their lifetime.
(However, the spring mechanism itself can still wear out over time or become damaged through accident or misuse. This is true across all types of stick and will lead to “stick drift” from the stick becoming sloppy and increasing the centre deadzones.)
TMR sticks have a high level of accuracy and low power consumption, making them the best sticks on the market currently.
Here are some of our installation videos:
Unfortunately, there currently aren’t any Hall Effect/TMR modules available on the market that will work reliably with either the Series 1 or Series 2 Elite controllers. (And believe me… we’ve tried them all!)
The magnetic thumbsticks, the Hall Effect sensors for the triggers and the magnets in the rear shell for the paddles all interfere with the electromagnetic modules.
But don’t worry, as soon as a suitable solution comes along that meets our high quality and reliability standards, we will post about it here and on our YouTube channel!
